Don’t Worry, Be Happy… With Your Toyota!

Are you a worrier? There is so much in the world to be worried about. But if you are looking for one less thing to worry about when it comes to your car, then look no further than Toyota. If you have a Toyota or Lexus, you can cross it off your list of things that keep you up at night. Cars.com just unveiled its Worry Free Index for 2015. 5 of the top 13 Worry free models are Toyota’s that includes: No. 1 Avalon Hybrid No. 7 Toyota Avalon No. 8 Toyota Tundra No. 9 Toyota Highlander No. 13 Toyota Prius No other automaker put more than three models in the Top 15! How did Cars.com come to this result with their Worry Free Index? They compiled the list by taking “the market’s top 120 sellers through September 2015 (roughly 90 percent of new cars sold) and analyzed reliability scores from thousands of Cars.com consumers over the most recent model years. We also scrutinized expected repair costs, which gauge the frequency and seriousness when things go wrong. But reliability alone isn’t the only component of what makes a car worry-free, so we looked at five-year estimated maintenance costs (which factor in any free-maintenance programs) and manufacturer warranties, as well.” To learn more about the Worry Free Index, click here!

Central City Toyota is pleased to announce that it donated 78 brand-new winter coats in 2015 to the Driving Away the Cold program. The coats our dealership donated will be distributed by People's Emergency Center and Tabernacle Community Church to underprivileged children living in the five-county region of Philadelphia. We are proud to help the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation donate a record 42,000 new coats this year! It’s a sad fact that 1 in 6 children in the Philadelphia area live in poverty. With our fellow new vehicle dealers, over the last 8 years we’ve donated over 220,000 new winter coats to Philadelphia area kids in need.  We hope this gift will help their winters be a little warmer and brighter. Driving Away the Cold has distributed more than 220,000 new coats since 2008 using a network of YMCAs, social service agencies, school districts, homeless shelters and more. Driving Away the Cold is an initiative of the Auto Dealers CARing for Kids Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Philadelphia Auto Show and the Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia.
