colorsFor a car that has sold over 40 million units, spanning six decades of evolution, it’s surprising that Toyota hasn’t run out of ideas for its much-loved Corolla model. But the compact car continues to grow and change with the times, and Toyota continues to offer an impressive range of trim levels, colors, and accessories for the Corolla to keep it fresh and relevant in a packed market. Read on for the lowdown on the available color choices and exterior features of the 2017 Toyota Corolla.

There are a total of eight different trim levels available to choose from for your 2017 Toyota Corolla. There are a variety of differences between the trim levels in terms of exterior features, interior design, technology, and safety. Color options also vary by trim level.

Corolla L

The most basic trim level, the L, is only available in four different colors, which are Black Sand Pearl, Slate Metallic, Super White, and Classic Silver Metallic. This trim also comes with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL).

Corolla LE and XLE

The next upgrade, known as the LE, adds an extra four color choices on top of what’s available for the L. In terms of exterior features, the LE adds 16-inch wide-vent steel wheels. The XLE is practically the same as the LE, apart from the addition of a continuously variable transmission and minor exterior differences, including LED headlamps and 16-inch alloy wheels with dark accents. The additional colors are Barcelona Red Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, Galactic Aqua Mica, and Falcon Gray Metallic.

Corolla LE Eco

The environmentally friendly version of the LE comes with reduced color choices. You can choose from any one of Slate Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, or Falcon Gray Metallic. The distinguishing aesthetic features of the LE Eco are its piano-black grille and rear spoiler.

Corolla SE, SE 6 MT, and XSE

The sports version of the Corolla comes with a choice of nine colors, although some of these are only available with the purchase of an SE premium package that’ll set you back a further $1535. The SE and SE 6MT are nearly identical, except that the latter comes with a six-speed manual transmission. The XSE swaps to a continuously variable transmission.

The available colors include a combination of what’s offered for the L and the LE trims, with the addition of a Blue Crush Metallic option. The SE and SE 6 MT come with a rear spoiler, chrome-tipped exhaust, sporty front fascia, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The XSE includes all of these features but also adds a moonroof with a sliding sunshade and a roof-mounted antenna.

50th Anniversary Special Edition

This unique trim level is available in a choice of three different colors: Silver Metallic, Blizzard Pearl, and a Black Cherry Pearl that is not available on any other trim. Other distinguishing features include the Special Edition exterior badge and a set of unique 17-inch alloy wheels not available with other trims.

Now that you know all about the available colors and exterior features of each trim level, the next step is to visit your local Toyota dealer and take the 2017 Corolla for a test drive.
