So where should you go grab that hamburger? Read on to learn all about our favorite burger joints in the city.

Village Whiskey

Featuring well-crafted cocktails and decadent hamburgers, Village Whiskey is a must-try restaurant. While this popular restaurant can have a long wait time, once you try their burgers you’ll know it was all worth it. Village Whiskey features monthly burger and cocktail specials that you should check out, but it’s their hamburgers that should definitely be on your bucket list. Who can resist a slice of seared foie, Rouge blue cheese, and a burger on a sesame bun?

Rouge

Overlooking Rittenhouse Square, this American Bistro is home to a killer bar scene and delicious hamburgers that never disappoint. With burgers that are cooked to perfection, we’re sure you’ll always be happy with the food at Rouge. The must-try hamburger on this menu is the Rouge Burger which is topped with caramelized onions and a slice of gruyere all cooked on a challah bun. Plus, this burger comes with a side of pommes frites. Stopping by late at night? Try the Brunch Burger that’s stuffed with fontina, bacon onion jam, and a sunny-side-up egg.

Pub and Kitchen

Just like the name suggests, this popular and well-loved spot is both a neighborhood pub and comfortable restaurant, open from brunch time until way late into the evening. The specialty burger here is actually quite simple. The stack of beef patties is topped with English cheddar cheese and house-cured bacon all on an onion roll. Perfectly executed, this tall hamburger arrives with skewers to help it stand up. If you’re in the mood for a regular ol’ hamburger, Pub and Kitchen is your best bet.

Spot Gourmet Burgers

A bit unconventional, Spot Gourmet Burgers is a full-blown restaurant on wheels. Waving down this school bus yellow mobile operation brings you a full menu of towering and mouth-watering sirloin hamburgers, all featuring your choice of over-the-top topping combinations. One of the most notable choices is the namesake Spot Burger which is loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, pickles, slaw, and secret Spot sauce.

Rex 1516

Messy and unique burgers are this restaurant’s specialty! Collaborating with different chefs and friends, Rex 1516 features one-of-a-kind burgers such as an eight-oz. patty with bacon, Bibb lettuce, red onions, and pimento cheese. Also be on the lookout for their funnily-named weekly burger specials including the “Netflix and Chili”. It’s here where you’ll definitely want to grab some extra napkins.

While each feature different burger experiences, all of the above will more than satisfy your carnivore craving. So tell us, what is your favorite burger joint in Philadelphia?
