Toyota owners, what do you think?

No decision makes a bigger impact on the environment than the type of car you drive.  “Hybrid” cars offer an efficient and affordable way to make a commitment to Mother Nature. Hybrids get their name from a double power source: a small, fuel-efficient gas engine that’s assisted by an electric motor when accelerating.  The motor is powered by batteries that automatically recharge while you drive. After years of development, hybrids have become a practical choice for consumers.

Besides their smaller, cleaner engines, hybrids also boast other efficient features:

Regenerative Braking. The hybrid’s electric motor can also slow the car. In this mode, the motor charges the batteries while the car is slowing down.

Periodic Engine Shutoff. When stopped in traffic, a hybrid’s engine shuts off. It instantly re-starts when put into gear, without interrupting your momentum.

Advanced Aerodynamics, Low-Rolling Resistance (LLR), Tires & Lightweight Construction. These features reduce drag, putting less strain on your engine.

Hybrids are available with all the features you expect in a new car, and their excellent gas mileage (often 40-50 mpg) makes them a cost-effective, conscientious choice. Ask your dealer to help you find a hybrid that’s right for you.
