Central City Toyota Helps Haul Away Hunger at the 17th Annual Toyota Tundra Food Drive

At Central City Toyota, supporting our community means more than serving drivers throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding Pennsylvania communities. It means coming together to make a meaningful difference for our neighbors. On October 14, 2026, Central City Toyota and our sister dealership, Ardmore Toyota, proudly participated in the 17th Annual Toyota Tundra "Haul Away Hunger" Food Drive, a remarkable community effort that brought together Toyota dealerships, local businesses, and volunteers to support Philabundance and families facing food insecurity across the Philadelphia region.
This year's event marked a major milestone, with a record-breaking food collection and enough donations to provide nearly 300,000 meals to individuals and families in need.

More Than 80 Toyota Tundras Come Together for a Greater Purpose

One of the most memorable moments of the day was seeing 84 Toyota Tundra pickup trucks join a massive convoy through Philadelphia. Loaded with pallets of donated food, the trucks departed from West Berks Street in North Philadelphia and traveled through the city with a police escort before arriving at Citizens Bank Park. At the stadium, volunteers and crews unloaded the food from the Tundras and transferred it into large Philabundance trucks for distribution throughout the community.
The impressive convoy was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people and organizations work together toward a shared goal. Each truck carried more than food; it represented the generosity of countless individuals committed to fighting hunger.

Central City Toyota and Ardmore Toyota Proudly Represent Our Community

Representing Central City Toyota and Ardmore Toyota at this year's event were Brad Paul, Osman Osman, Tim Bell, and Chaz Bond. Their participation reflects the importance our dealerships place on giving back to the communities that have supported us throughout the years. We're incredibly proud to stand alongside fellow Toyota dealerships, volunteers, and community organizations working to make a difference throughout Philadelphia and its surrounding neighborhoods.

Supporting Philabundance and the Fight Against Hunger

For families experiencing food insecurity, reliable access to nutritious meals can be an ongoing challenge. Philabundance works throughout the Greater Philadelphia region to help connect individuals and families with the food they need. The Toyota Tundra Food Drive supports that mission by bringing together the resources, generosity, and volunteer efforts of Toyota dealerships and regional partners. Although the annual food drive is a major accomplishment, addressing hunger requires ongoing community involvement throughout the year. Those interested in supporting local hunger-relief efforts can learn more about donating, volunteering, and getting involved through Philabundance.

Thank You for Helping Us Make a Difference

At Central City Toyota, we're grateful to have participated in such a meaningful event alongside Ardmore Toyota and the entire Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association. We extend our sincere appreciation to Philabundance, the event organizers, participating dealerships, volunteers, and community partners who helped make the 17th Annual Toyota Tundra Food Drive a success. More than 354,000 pounds of food. Nearly 300,000 meals. One community coming together to help its neighbors. We're proud to have been part of this incredible effort and look forward to continuing to support the communities we call home.

Serving Our Community by Providing Families in Need with a Thanksgiving Meal

While this is what we happily do for a living, we’re also proud to serve the community in a variety of other ways.
